The Journey

Yann Rousselot-Pailley started his first business at 19 in Nice, France. By 21, he was advising a private IT investment fund across the UAE, Spain, France and Canada. At 25, he moved to Canada and joined KPMG as an R&D tax credit consultant, where he supported large companies in establishing their R&D function, including the national railroad company CN and multiple entities of the national telecom company, Bell.

In 2001, he founded Present Profit Inc., a Canadian boutique specialized in R&D and Innovation management consultancy that grew to 22 staff and 400+ clients across manufacturing, healthcare, IT, fintech, and telecom — including three of Canada's largest telcos. Over 16 years, his team established hundreds of R&D and Innovation function, and applied 60+ innovation methodologies, while advising government entities on federal R&D and innovation incentive policy aligned with OECD FRASCATI & OSLO standards.

In 2014, he launched 2PS, an AI-powered platform reinventing consulting through gamification and blockchain-enabled collaboration. The platform attracted 1,200+ members in 25 countries and earned him an invitation to advise the Quebec Premier's Office on blockchain strategy.

In 2019, he moved to Vietnam where he served as Chief Innovation Officer of Dirox (100 developers, 50+ software products) before being recruited by KPMG to build their Digital Innovation practice across Vietnam and Cambodia. He designed innovative transformation program for major insurance companies (FWD and AIA), created an Innovation Management Masterclass delivered to 140+ KPMG leaders globally, and was invited twice as Guest Lecturer at RMIT's Master Global Trade program.

Since 2022, based in Riyadh, he leads KPMG's Innovation Center of Excellence for the Middle-East region. He built this new service line from zero to $3M+ revenue in 18 months, developed the region's first KPMG Gen-AI Innovation Playbook (adopted across 40+ countries), and delivered national-level programs for government entities including MEWA, KACST, RDIA, and Saudi NIH — directly influencing Saudi Arabia's IP and RDI public policies and infrastructures.

Beyond Work

At 17, he was already a radio host in Nice. In 2014, he crossed the Atlantic on a racing sailboat with 9 other entrepreneurs — 14 months of training, 14 days of racing from Quebec to Saint-Malo. He speaks four languages (French, English, Arabic, Italian), holds a PADI Master Scuba Diver certification, and is a certified sailboat skipper.
